夏休み対応に追われ、キーくんの新曲がなかなか聴けないうぅう…そんな中、昨日は音楽番組で見事「HUNTER」が一位に輝いたとのこと。前作Pleasure Shopに続く快挙本当におめでとうキーくん！デビュー17年を越えた今も、グループとしてはもちろん、極上の世界観の表現者•エンターテイナーとして進化を続ける人。本当に誇らしい人です。
今日はキーくんの曲に集中したい気分なので、アルバム「HUNTER」の中から英語曲Strangeの歌詞を意訳してみたいと思います。内向的であり挑発的な歌詞。キーくんの英語曲にはそういう世界観の歌詞が多いので好きです。特にStrangeの歌詞が持つ仄暗くて物騒な雰囲気は、私にはたまらなく刺さります。英語だからある程度ずばっと言葉にしても、私のように母国語が英語ではないリスナーにとってはキツく聞こえすぎない。訳してはじめてはっとさせられる。
